Back in May, The Vulcan Reporter exclusively revealed that a Kingdom Hearts series is in the works at Disney+. We have also learned that the upcoming unannounced Kingdom Hearts 4 game is eyeing the Frozen 2 movie as a potential level in the game.
Kingdom Hearts is a crossover videogame franchise between Square Enix and Disney based in a fictional universe, which contains worlds based on Disney and Square Enix IPs as levels. The series centers on the main character, Sora, and his journey and experiences with various Disney, Square Enix, and Pixar characters. The heroes of the series clash against the multiple incarnations of the primary antagonist, Xehanort, throughout the series.
Frozen 2 is a Disney-produced animated movie sequel to the original Frozen movie. Set three years after the events of the first film, the story follows Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven, who embark on a journey beyond their kingdom of Arendelle in order to discover the origin of Elsa’s magical powers and save their kingdom after a mysterious voice calls out to Elsa. The movie was released on November 7, 2019.
Pre-production on the fourth Kingdom Hearts game began last November. We have heard from sources close to the development of the game that Frozen 2 was eyed as a level. This makes sense, as Kingdom Hearts 3 featured the original Frozen movie as a level.
