‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ Renewed For Second Season at Starz

Starz has already ordered a second season of the Power spin-off prequel titled Power Book III: Raising Kanan.

Power Book III: Raising Kanan is a prequel set in the 1990s that will chronicle the early years of Kanan Stark, the character first played by executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.

Mekai Curtis takes up the mantle as Kanan, with the rest of the cast consisting of Patina Miller, Omar Epps, London Brown, Malcolm Mays, Shanley Caswell, Lovie Simone, Toby Sandeman, Joey Badass, and Hailey Kilgore. Raising Kanan is created and run by Sascha Penn, who is also executive producing alongside Courtney A. Kemp, Mark Canton, Chris Selak, Danielle DeJesus, Shana Stein, Bart Wenrich and Kevin Fox.

Power Book III: Raising Kanan is expected to premiere in the summer of 2021. Power Book IV: Force has recently started production on its first season.
