‘Foundation’: Apple TV+ Series Set To Premiere September 24, 2021

"The sci-fi saga that started it all is finally coming to the screen."

Apple TV+’s Foundation series will be premiering on the 24th of September, 2021. This news was revealed through a new teaser trailer, released by Apple. You can view it below:

Apple’s Foundation is an upcoming sci-fi series based on the book series of the same name by Isaac Asimov. Foundation is created by David S. Goyer for the Apple TV+ streaming service.  The series chronicles the thousand-year saga of The Foundation, a band of exiles who discover that the only way to save the Galactic Empire from destruction is to defy it.

The cast consists of; Jared Harris, Lee Pace, Lou Llobell, Leah Harvey, Laura Birn, Cassian Bilton, Terrence Mann, and Alfred Enoch. Goyer, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Marcy Ross, and Robyn Asimov will be executive producing.

According to news outlet FilmNewEurope, The first season of Apple TV+’s Foundation finished filming in Malta on the 17th of February, 2021. The season consists of 10 episodes.

As The Vulcan Reporter exclusively revealed back in February, the series has already been renewed. Season 2 of the sci-fi series is currently in pre-production, with production planned to begin shortly. Local news websites in Tuineje, a town on Fuerteventura, Spain, have reported that Foundation’s second season will also be shot there. Additionally, the production has spent around 30 million dollars (25 million euros) in Tuineje.
