‘Captain America 4’ in the Works By Malcolm Spellman

Per The Hollywood Reporter, a fourth Captain America film is in development at Marvel Studios, with Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson set to pen the script.

Malcolm Spellman is the showrunner of the Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which recently aired its finale. Dalan Musson is a staff writer on the Disney+ Marvel series.

The cast and director are being kept under wraps. Due to this, we do not know who will play Captain America in the upcoming film, though it is likely that the film will continue the story of Sam Wilson, played by Anthony Mackie, as Captain America. It is unclear if Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier or Chris Evan’s Captain America will make an appearance.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is a television miniseries created by Malcolm Spellman for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics characters Sam Wilson / Falcon and Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, sharing continuity with the films of the franchise. The series was produced by Marvel Studios, with Spellman serving as head writer and Kari Skogland directing and stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan in lead roles.
