DC Comics has announced that their DC FanDome event will be coming back for a second installment, on the 16th of October, 2021.
DC FanDome is a virtual event platform created by DC Comics. Created initially as a virtual entertainment and comic book convention, the name will also be used for other online events surrounding DC Comics. The convention was created and announced in June 2020, as Warner Bros. and DC’s response to San Diego Comic-Con’s cancellation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
With DC FanDome, we’re able to give fans from around the world an exciting and unparalleled way to connect with all their favorite DC characters, as well as the incredible talent who bring them to life on the page and screen.
Warner Bros. Chair & Chief Executive Officer Ann Sarnoff
The convention featured information about DC-based content including the DC Extended Universe film franchise, the Arrowverse television franchise, comic books, and video games. The event has been described as a “mega, 24-hour, immersive virtual fan experience which brings the universe of DC to life and features the stars, filmmakers, and creators behind its biggest films, tv series, games, and comics.”
