Sharon Ferguson Set To Play Luand’r in ‘Titans’ Season 3

Glee and Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress Sharon Ferguson has been cast in the role of the Queen of Tamaran, Luand’r.

Luand’r is the queen of Tamaran, wife of Myand’r, and mother of Starfire, Blackfire, and Darkfire. it was revealed during the second season of Titans that Blackfire, the sister of Kory and daughter of Luand’r, had killed her parents in a coup for the throne of Tamaran.

The Luand’r we will see in Titans season 3 is probably from a flashback, seeing as how she was killed by Blackfire. This checks out with what I heard a few weeks ago, which is that episode 11 of Titans season 3, titled “The Call is Coming from Inside the House,” will feature flashbacks on Tamaran.

Sharon Ferguson is an Actress, singer, and dancer who has appeared in movies and shows. Ferguson’s film credits include supporting acting roles in “Blue Lagoon”, “Quarantine”, “Just Go With It” and Shakespeare’s “H4” as well as lead roles in “The Bloody Indulgent” and “The Algerian”. Her television credits include roles on Grays Anatomy, Glee, Hart of Dixie, Suburgatory, Alias, and The District, as well as her recurring role as the Primitive, the First Slayer on the Buffy The Vampire Slayer series.

Ferguson herself posted pictures of her wearing her Luand’r costume on Instagram. You can view the Instagram post below:

The casting of Sharon Ferguson as Luand’r was previously rumored before the first season of Titans premiered, though we never ended up seeing her in the first two seasons. This implies that the writers had planned to feature Ferguson as Luand’r in season 1, with the scene ultimately ending up being cut. I assume that she was supposed to appear in the scrapped third episode of season 1, which was titled “Starfire.”

Titans hails from showrunner Greg Walker and producers Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, and Greg Berlanti. The current cast consists of Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Ryan Potter, Curran Walters, Conor Leslie, Minka Kelly, Alan Ritchson, Joshua Orpin, Savannah Welch, and Jay Lycurgo.

The series has already been renewed for a fourth season. Production on Titans season 3 began on October 14, 2020, in Toronto and will wrap up in June. The Vulcan Reporter has exclusively revealed that the upcoming third season is currently planned to premiere on the 15th of July on HBO Max.

Seasons 1 and 2 are now available to be watched on HBO Max in the United States and Netflix internationally.
