There is a The Boys spin-off series in development.
The Boys is a superhero television series developed by Eric Kripke for Prime Video. Based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, it follows the eponymous team of vigilantes as they combat superpowered individuals who abuse their abilities.
Following the massive success of season 2 of The Boys, Amazon has decided to fast-track development on a spin-off series. The spinoff is set at America’s only college exclusively for young supes, that is run by Vought International. It is described as an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It looks like the series will be a The Boys version of X-Men and The Hunger Games.
Showrunner Craig Rosenberg is swt to write the pilot and executive produce. The Boys creator Eric Kripke will also executive produce along with executive producers Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver. The Boys executive producers Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty are also executive producers on the spinoff. Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television will produce.
Season 2 of The Boys is currently airing on Amazon Prime Video, with the series having already landed an early season 3 renewal.
