‘What We Do in the Shadows’ Season 3 Set To Start Production in January 2021
In May of 2020, it was announced that FX’s What We Do in the Shadows will be getting a third season. Season 3 started pre-production back in August of this year, as per my tweet, though it ended up being halted for unknown reasons. What We Do in the Shadows season 3 is set to start pre-production again this month, to prepare for a January production start date. According to the IATSE, production on season 3 is set to start on the 25th of January, 2021. It is set to wrap up on the 19th of April in the same year.
What We Do in the Shadows is a mockumentary comedy horror series created by Jemaine Clement that premiered March 27, 2019, on FX. It is based on the 2014 film of the same name, written by Clement and Taika Waititi. You can read the synopsis below:
Set in Staten Island, What We Do in the Shadows follows the lives of three traditional vampires, Nandor, Laszlo, and Nadja; Colin Robinson, an energy vampire; and Guillermo, Nandor’s familiar. The series revolves around the centuries-old vampires interacting with the modern world and other supernatural beings.
The cast includes; Kayvan Novak as Nandor the Relentless, Matt Berry as Laszlo Cravensworth, Natasia Demetriou as Nadja, Harvey Guillén as Guillermo De la Cruz, and Mark Proksch as Colin Robinson. Season 2 premiered on April 15 of this year. It is currently unclear when season 3 will be airing, seeing as how it has not started production yet. We will most likely hear about a release date around April of next year.
